Located adjacent to Ngorongoro Conservation Area within the 1500 acre Shangri-La Estate, The Manor is reminiscent of an elegant country farm house in Cape Dutch style architecture.
There are 20 luxurious guest cottage suites each with private courtyard and deck. Each has an en-suite bathroom with bath and rain shower, indoor and outdoor fireplaces, period style furniture and furnishings, fantastic views and is surrounded by gardens and age old trees.
There is also a 3 bedroom family cottage with accommodation for 4 adults and 2 children with own private dining area, large living room and home entertainment centre in addition to the above.
There is plenty to do at The Manor including tennis, horse riding, coffee tasting and guided estate walks. There is a bicycle trail or you can opt for Ngorongoro game drives or crater floor picnics, Maasai cultural visits and a Maasai market visit or take an excursion to Lake Manyara or Olduvai Gorge.
We think any opportunity to step outside the cosseted realm of the safari goer and into the real Africa should be taken if at all possible.
